Aesthetic Dentistry
In all societies from ancient times to the present, looking beautiful is one of the basic desires. Especially with the increase in technological and scientific studies, the aesthetic approach comes to the fore in the field of health, as in everything else. In recent years, there has been a serious acceleration in the field of aesthetic dentistry with the developments in scientific studies and materials.
With the methods and materials developed today, our patients can be given a very natural and beautiful appearance with appropriate methods in the field of dentistry. We can classify aesthetic dentistry applications as follows.
AESTHETIC DENTISTRY APPLICATIONS
* COMPOSITE RESTORATIONS
These are filling materials suitable for the appearance of natural teeth, applied to both the back and front areas of the mouth, with color selection appropriate to the tooth color. Nowadays, composite fillings can give teeth a very natural and aesthetic appearance.
*VENEER CROWN APPLICATIONS
FULL CERAMIC COATINGS
Concepts such as full ceramic coatings, full ceramics and emax mean the same thing. They are excellent aesthetic and biocompatible materials, especially preferred in anterior region restorations. Full ceramic coatings are aesthetic coatings that cover all surfaces of the tooth. They have a more aesthetic structure than zirconium coatings.
ZIRCONIUM SUPPORTED CERAMIC COATINGS
Zirconium is an aesthetic and functional material with extremely superior properties. They have the durability to be used in all parts of the mouth. Since its durability is superior to emax, it is more frequently preferred in the back areas of the mouth. Both emax and zirconium are materials with superior aesthetic properties. While we prefer emaxi in the anterior region due to its superior aesthetic properties, we can also prefer zirconium-supported ceramic coatings both on the implant and in the posterior regions.
* LAMINATE VENEER APPLICATIONS (LEFT PORCELAIN)
Unlike emax and zirconium applications, laminate veneers are leaf-shaped porcelains that are applied only to a certain part of the tooth. These are highly aesthetic applications that are generally applied to the front surfaces of the front teeth to eliminate shape and color problems, and where a minimum amount of material is removed from the tooth or no abrasion is performed. In the presence of appropriate indications, removing no or only very little material from the teeth provides significant advantages in terms of the health of the existing tooth. They are extremely satisfactory in terms of aesthetics and protection of dental tissue.
